stôn Donates to Auction for Harvey Relief
So much of the work that we do is influenced by nature. We are inspired, driven, and fed by it. We are also compelled to protect it. In light of the many recent natural disasters, we find ourselves seeking ways to help those who are directly affected by them. With hurricanes pummeling the US and wildfires devouring the northwest regions, nature continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
It is far too easy to become overwhelmed and paralyzed in the face of adversity. Picking where to allocate resources is not easy, but we have to start somewhere. When hurricane Harvey hit Texas, members of Ton's family were faced with massive flooding, and our thoughts went to everyone in Texas.
We reached out to our friend Benjamin Guttery. Benjamin is a compassionate and creative jewelry influencer who lives in Texas. We knew he would have his finger on the pulse of what was happening. Great minds do think alike, because that same day Benjamin had begun to discuss a charity auction to benefit those affected by Harvey. Harvey displaced more than 30,000 people and is the wettest tropical cyclone in US history.
We wanted to be part of the solution and joined 65 designers and jewelers who have donated to Jewelers for Texans on Charity Buzz.
We donated the round signet II ring, valued at $1,550. We look forward to it finding a perfect home, and the proceeds going directly to those impacted by Harvey. Please visit the site and bid on a piece that is inspired by nature, helping those whose lives are still reeling from the damages inflicted by nature.
